Jay Goin
President, Los Angeles Pacific University
Jay Goin is the second President of Los Angeles Pacific University (LAPU), beginning his role in August 2025. He is an executive leader with over 30 years of experience leading dynamic models in higher education and is recognized as an influential player in the online learning revolution. His career, marked by driving growth and accessibility, is deeply aligned with LAPU’s mission as a Christ-centered online institution.
Mr. Goin's experience includes directing critical aspects of instruction, operations, admissions, marketing, and technology across university systems. His work shows commitment to fostering a thriving community where every learner is empowered to live out their calling with purpose and impact.
Mr. Goin was instrumental in pioneering online education, notably as Vice President/Director of the Online Campus at the University of Phoenix. In this role, he managed the daily direction of the organization, leading the development of a scalable online learning system and facilitating rapid enrollment growth from 2,100 to 68,000 students.
He also leveraged his expertise to launch and lead the operations for the online campus at his alma mater, Abilene Christian University (ACU), where he significantly expanded graduate student enrollment. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer/Executive Vice President at National University, where he oversaw operations supporting over $350 million in annual revenue and managed major technological and organizational transformations.
Mr. Goin holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science from Abilene Christian University.
