Shawn Daley
Vice President of Strategic Relationships and Dean of the College of Education, George Fox University
Shawn Daley serves as vice president of strategic relationships and dean of the College of Education at George Fox University. He also oversees the university’s Early College Project and Strategic Educational Services team. Prior to this role, he was George Fox’s chief strategy and business development officer, overseeing strategic planning, market research, and external partnerships.
In 2020, Daley served as the Chief of Staff for the Closure of Concordia University, Portland. He had previously served as the Executive Vice President at Concordia until its board of regents voted to close the institution. Daley oversaw the successful shutdown process that redirected over 6,000 students to other programs. He speaks now to boards and institutional leadership about what to expect from the closure process and how to contemplate closure within institutional scenario planning.
Daley holds a PhD in Educational Psychology and Technology from Michigan State University, and his research has centered on assessing the impact of emerging technologies on learning. He is a graduate of the P3 Fellowship program as well as the Academy of Innovation of Higher Education Leadership.
